Growth perspectives for frozen fruit in retail
Currently frozen fruits account for only 1% of frozen sales in Europe. The largest products in the frozen food segment are meat (34%), ready meals (18%) and fish (11%). In value, frozen fruits represent 230 million of the 23 billion euro of total frozen food sales. At Dirafrost we believe that the small segment of frozen fruits & desserts has room for innovation.
How partnership between supplier & bakery school can increase customer delight
A small bakery & pastry school in a lovely village near Amsterdam houses great talent. And we thought: let's share this talent. As a fruit supplier, we came up with the idea of an incentive for our Dutch bakery distributor. We sent 2 of their customers on a professional training. The result: delighted pastry chefs with fresh ideas for their artisan pastry shop.
Partnership marketing for better sales in bakery distribution
Our Account Manager Ines represented our fruits & fruit purees during the local bakery event of Beko in The Netherlands. As an extra benefit, Dirafrost & Bakery Institute gave away a professional pastry training to the winner of a recipe contest. The challenge? The most original recipe with fruit puree. The winning recipe was Vanilla Passion, by Stephan Kemps of Bakkerij Bekkers. This initiative was a win-win for Dirafrost, Beko, Bakery Institute and of course for the winner of the contest.
